Virtual Sheriffs

Using technology to capture photographic evidence of crimes as they take place.

Appoint members of public as virtual sheriffs (VS), equipped with an authorized bespoke video capture app on mobile phones. If a crime is taking place, these VS capture video evidence of the crime but do not intervene to stop crime. The app would alert police as to the location of the crime taking place. If prosecution results from the video evidence captured by the app the VS is financially rewarded.
