Professional Journalism

A new professional body to licence journalists will be established. All employers of journalists must always employ journalists who are members of this professional body. It will be an offence to publish or broadcast the work of a journalist who is not a member of this professional body. The body itself will accredit, monitor and separately licence its members to;

• Report news
• Comment on news
• Give opinion on news
• Review

So for example a member journalist who only has a licence to report news will unable to comment on news, and vice versa.
