National Community Service Organisation (NCSO)

The NCSO will deliver services to the local community in partnership with local authorities (e.g. social services), the voluntary sector etc.

The NCSO will have a hierarchical management structure with associated levels of pay that supplements that earned by members remuneration from their paid employment.

All adults (excluding those claiming Employment Support Allowance/Universal Credit Disability Premium) aged between 16 and 40 will be enrolled into the the NCSO.

Those enrolled by NCSO will be required to work 42 hours per week less hours worked in;

• Paid employment
• Voluntary service
• Direct employment in the NCSO e.g. within its management and administrative services.
